I have exciting news… we have joined forces with The White Party team and will be involved in their upcoming production:

After staging the unofficial launch of Ivy back in December 2007, when the scaffolds were still largely in place, The White Party will finally be returning to Ivy , Sydney‘s most beautiful club and the scene of what many would consider one of the best White Parties to date. The date of the party will be 4th April (Easter Sunday) which means that with Monday being a public holiday, we will all be able to party with a sense of careless abandon knowing there’ll be plenty of time to recover from our follies. On our return to Ivy in 2010, we will take full advantage of the endless possibilities this stylish venue has to offer. Fabulous lighting and special effects will combine with other White Party elements to create a visually stunning setting for what might just end up being the party of the year.

So what about the Theme?
The theme for our next White Party will be Amazonia, a raw and untamed land where you will be engulfed in a luxuriant tropical jungle, where tribal warriors and statuesque native princesses revel with total abandon to pounding, dizzying rhythms, and seductive beats. The inhabitants of Amazonia are bedecked in indigenous finery of body paint, masks and headdresses of bird-of-paradise feathers. On entering Amazonia, soon after sunset, you will find yourself awash with the heady scent of intoxicating mystery and a rush of adrenaline-infused excitement. Overcome by your primal instincts, you will feel compelled to dance to the animalistic energy of the mesmerising beat. Welcome to Amazonia!

Now, hopefully that has got your mind going into creative overdrive as you start to consider costume ideas. For our part, we will be drawing inspiration from the overproductive superabundance of the Amazon, the bewitching and untamed Tribal traditions of Papua New Guinea, and the vivid colours and textures of the planet Pandora in Avatar.

DJs at this event will include residents Paolo Violante, Bill Fragos, Eddie Coulter, and Corin Hansford. Together with our much loved percussionists, amazonian dancers, and special shows, we will be taking you on a sensual musical journey that will leave you feeling like you have experienced a night that is as unique as it is unforgettable.
